About Me

My photo
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

MADAGASCAR, Antisirabe and Lake Nakuru National Park

 November 2, 2018

I spent a few days in Antisirabe and quickly decided to hire a driver for the remaining journey. Public transportation  in Madagascar is not recommended. My highlight and low point was the following bike trip.

Biked what I thought would be only a few hours from Antisirabe to Lake Nakuru National Park. It took most of the day and at some point I was concerned about heat stroke and finally hitched a ride when I got back to main highway. The hotel staff could not believe I had biked that far on mostly dirt roads in the scorching heat with little access to water. Was not a smart decision on my part.
